Just so the whole world knows, this is a blog about my life and family and my experience as a photographer.  This is not a photography website or my business website whatsoever.  My business website if you care to know is

I was recently banned from the bump for "advertising" when I posted some senior photos I took of a family friend.  And there was not a link to my business website anywhere inside the post.

There are so many "photographers" that post their work on the Bump and they never get banned.  Someone even asked that I share more, so the first time in months I shared and I got freaking banned.  Last time I decide to be an attention whore.

So in honor of my banning... presenting one of the senior photos :)

lonely nights

Joel's working a double again tonight, second time this week.  The money's good but the lonely nights are not my thing.  I find myself staying up super late waiting like he's going to walk through the front door any minute even though I know it's not going to happen.  I just need to force myself to go to bed.  Tomorrow is going to be rough since he'll be sleeping all morning and then he has to go to work again.  At least he can't be froze again... by law they can't do it two nights in a row.

Saturday we're heading down South to the camp site with his parents and siblings and their families.  It'll be nice to get away, plus this time of year... it's beautiful down there with all the hills and the trees are all different colors.  It's called the leaf festival.

Jack's 1st Haircut

So I finally caved and chopped off the curls.  I'm kind of sad but pretty positive they'll grow back considering I had lots of them as a child.  I honestly didn't think he'd be so upset.  He cried and screamed the whole time but our stylist was experienced and was super fast!  It probably took 3 minutes and he was done.  It was cute, he got a certificate that said he had his first haircut, a lock of hair and a photo when he was all finished.  We went to Cookie Cutters and will be going back in the future, they did an awesome job and it's a great place to take a child since mine isn't very fond of getting a haircut it seems.

Part 1, waiting for his haircut and happy as a clam:

And the crying and screaming during his haircut.  Poor guy...
