a late mother’s day post

I hope you enjoyed your Mother’s Day.  If you’re a mother I hope your heart felt warm and loved by those around you.

Jack painted me a picture frame and it says “I (heart) mom” on it.  It’s perfect

I decided to use this special occasion to share an old private journal entry I wrote about my son Jack.  It’s a window into my mommy world.  Enjoy!

In bed

I know one day my heart will ache for these moments.  Right now I’m trying to cherish every morning snuggle on the couch and in the kitchen with my Jack.  I breathe him in and kiss his forehead and hold him tight as he grips his bear and blankey… one of the best parts of the day.

Thankful Three [in an effort to be more positive]
I’m thankful for being Jack’s mama.
I’m thankful I still have my mother in my life.  I love her so much.
I’m thankful for flowers.  They’ve never made me feel so much at home.  Country life is beautiful and magical.

  1. don't you wish you could just bottle up those memories and put them on a shelf for a rainy day? i think i'd fill up a dozen houses for each of my children :)
